Chemistry at HF Sinclair

My name is Joey Woodrow, and I am a rising junior studying chemistry and playing baseball at Juniata. This summer, I will be working as an intern chemist at Sonneborn, a subsidiary of HF Sinclair Corporation, working alongside professional chemists to produce and analyze specialty products to be distributed to manufacturers in a multitude of industries. While Sinclair Oil is in charge of refining barrels of crude oil, Sonneborn receives the impurities from these barrels that we repurpose and sell. I will be balancing my time between this internship and playing summer baseball with the Butler BlueSox and documenting my experience on blog posts. Enjoy!
